Hair Chat:: Pony Puff

This  has to be one of my FAVORITE  HEAT-FREE styles ever! Its simple to do and i love the results. Yesterday i washed my hair and deep conditioned, let air dry 90% with damp roots and set my hair on 10 pink flexi rods. Of coursed i moisturized and sealed before setting my hair on the rods, but i didn't use any setting lotion. I will redo the rollers tonight and wear it in a puff tomorrow. And Co-wash weds and do another Heat Free style. Next week ill be wearing my half wigs/lace fronts to protect my hair. I have a wedding to attend next month, so i will be using my heat pass and wearing it down BUT after that....no more of me wearing my hair out till DEC when i relax.

Im starting to get question alot, Why don't you wear your OWN hair...its so long? Well, because im still on my Hair Journey and i haven't met my final goal...i want to be FULL MID BACK LENGTH. My hair has NEVER been this long, and i just want to prove to myself that my hair could be ANY LENGTH i desire. I have learned what my hair likes and dislikes, what makes my hair strong and what makes my hair weak. I have gained alot of knowledge on this journey that i will continue to share with you all and pass along to my daughter. Im more so excited because i KNOW how to care for my baby girls hair, and her hair will always be STRONG AND HEALTHY...with a length SHE DESIRES =)!!!

Happy Hair Journey!!!

1st Bantu Knot out (AirDry Hair)

Happy Sunday Beauties!!=-)

So a few days ago i did my 1st Bantu Knot out on air dry hair..the results were cute. My husband actually loved it, so thats always a + right?!

Details:

I co-washed my hair with my fave conditioner, Tresseme with Vit E and i deep conditioned with One n Only Argan Oil Mask for (15 mins) no heat. I then proceeded to my way of air drying (i already have a YouTube video on this, check it out). After it was dry i applied my LTR & Oil. I also used a little bit of Carols Daughter Loc Butter on each section of doing the knots. I did 4 knots on each side, left & right, with a part down the middle (made with my fingers, no comb) I secured them with bobby pins, applied my satin scarf and went to sleep....

Next morning:

Applied a little oil and rubbed it through my knots before separating and fluffing.

I liked the results, gave me like a short curly look, i think this would deff be a cute summer style.

Nite Time Routine:

Of course i still did my moisture and seal =-) but instead of doing 4 knots on each side, i decided to do 1 knot on each side, lightly finger combing so smooth out just a bit, then did each knot.

Next Morning Results:

The waves are a bit looser...

And theres my post Beauties...Also to let you know, you may not see *MY* hair because im going on 8 weeks post and NG is kicking in, so its time to protect my hair and give it a break,i want to retain my length so its very important i pamper it...I will be doing my 1st love of protective styles, lol, half wigs and even some lace front wigs until my next relaxer at either 12 or 13 weeks post...hey maybe even 15wks, i will see and of course keep you updated =-)

All other tutorials of my heat free styles will have to be after my relaxer =-(

Caruso Saran Wrap

Happy Tuesday Beauties!!!

Caruso Saran Wrap...say what? lol. Yup, i said it, now what exactly is it? I havent seen anyone do this on YouTube (that i know of) but i came up with the idea from the basics of a roller wrap but without all the work of course. Hey time is an issue with me, i have 2 children under the age of 3, so i stay busy. Ok back to the post..

I used my Caruso rollers on air dried hair, set the rollers for 15 Min's until they were cooled off then i proceeded to wrap my hair using saran wrap and sat under my dryer (bonnet) for 10 minutes. This step helped smoothed my hair and release the tight curl.

I loved my results, it was alot quicker than doing a regular roller wrap and the results are just about the same IMO. My hair was extremely full (my hair is really thick), i like it but my roots were kinda poof. You can flat iron or blow out the roots if you like, i choose not too, since i don't like using direct heat.

 RESULTS...

TUTORIAL SOON...

Triple Flower Updo

Hey Beauties!!!

OK, i know you are prob laughing at the name but i just honestly didn't know what to call this look...all i can say is that is was inspired from YouTube. LOL. Didn't turn out like the girls on YouTube, but i think it still looks cute,esp with the flowers clipped in. I like it alot, i like that its off my face, off my clothes, and my ends are protected still...

Im just trying many different looks, im not use to wearing my own hair out so i have to be creative with it if i don't want to wear it down...buuuuuut i will be flat ironing next weekend...family pics, plus its been almost a month anyway since i used heat, so ill be ok...next relaxer will be in March..end of March so to say...

What would you call this look?

I took 3 sections of hair, twisted it and did it like a pin curl, then secured it with a bobby pin. Lifted the front a little bit so it wouldn't be flat...this is another heat free hair style by the way...who says you cant look cute with out heat...shoot I'm shooting for bra strap hair baby lol =P

Tutorial coming soon...been sick so all I've been able to do was take pictures, sorry =(
