Beauty Tip:: Baking Soda for Dark Marks?

Hey Beauties!!!

Have you heard of using Baking Soda for dark marks? Well if you haven't, and you have some dark marks....i highly suggest you try this non-expensive method because it does work!!! I have used it on a couple marks i had from a bad breakout and it helped so much. I used it 1 to 2 times a day after i cleansed my face. You can get baking soda for under a buck...talk about cheap.

Below is a Homemade Acne Mask Recipe

Needed: Baking Soda & Water

Mix a little together in your hands after washing your face with a mild cleanser and apply gently to your skin. Once you've coated your face with the baking soda and water mix, let it sit while you do other things around the house, or relax and read a book. (i leave mines on for about 5mins, if it starts to sting/tingle, rinse)

Rinse the baking soda film off your face and feel how soft and clear it feels. If your skin enjoys this recipe, and your acne improves, then you may try it several times a week to help clear your acne

Hope This Helped =)

Fiber for Weight Loss

Hey Beauties! Did you know fiber could help you with losing some weight? Now this isn't a secret miracle diet pill or anything, but getting the right amount of fiber a day could help in those stubborn pounds. If you are like me and love to snack (don't judge me, lol) Fiber is a must!!! I personally take 2 tablets of Fiber Choice Weight Management (you can take up to 5 a day) a day. This help control my appetite....ALOT!!! Sometimes i tend to snack too much, or when I'm busy and short on time and hungry-grab something that isn't healthy for me-resulting in high calorie snacks=extra pounds =( But i have notice a major difference with adding FIBER into my diet and thought i would share with YOU. =)

FACTS:

1. Fiber will help fill you up without FILLING YOU OUT. Eating healthy high-fiber foods makes you feel full, so you can resist eating more food than you need.

2. Fibrous foods also can take longer to chew, giving your brain time to get the signal that you have had enough to eat.

3. Fiber also helps transport cholesterol out of our body, reducing our risk for heart disease.

EXAMPLES OF FIBER RICH FOODS

Legumes (lentils, dry beans and peas)
•Other vegetables
•Fruits•Brown rice
•Whole grains (wheat, oats, barley)

NOTE: Adding more fiber to your diet will likely help you lose weight and improve your health, but do it gradually. Rapid increases in consumption of fiber may result in gas or diarrhea.

And be sure to drink plenty of fluids when adding fiber to your diet. While fiber is normally helpful to your digestive system, without adequate fluids it can cause constipation instead of helping to eliminate it.

Hope this was Helpful

5 Minute Beauty Mask!!!

Short on time? But need something to refresh your face, and yourself?

I LOOOOVE using the ALL NATURAL Honey & Sugar face and lip scrub! Its super easy to make, takes less than 5 minutes to make and apply....the results....AMAZING SOFT GLOWING SKIN!!!

All you need is Sugar, Honey, and a little bit of Milk. I use organic products but you can use any products you choose, organic or not. Results are basically the same.

I use about 2 teaspoons of Honey, 1/2 cup of Sugar, and 1 teaspoon of Milk. Mix together, add more sugar if you want your mix thicker, add more milk if you want your mix thinner. You can store your mixture in a small container and put it in the refrigerator.

I apply this mixture to my face and my lips at the same time, i let the mixture sit on my face (depending on the amount of time i have) anywhere from 2-5 minutes. And rinse off with cool water, let dry then apply my moisturizer...keep in mind you need to cleanse your face prior to applying the scrub. For my lips, i gently rub my lips together with the scrub for a minute or two then wipe off.....i looooove how soft my lips feel afterwards. (this is good to do daily in the morning before applying your lipstick or gloss--your application will apply much smoother)

Try it out...let me know how it works out for you =)

Beauty Tip:: Making Your Own Tined Moisturizer

Hey Beauties! Are you ready for the hot summer months to come? I know i am! But how about your makeup, we all know its going to be too hot to wear a full face, plus who wants to spend all that time on makeup when we could be out enjoying the hot summer sun! I know i don't have the time nor do i want to waste any. Soooo....a tinted moisturizer will be perfect, its quick and easy and gives you a very natural look for the summer without melting so to say lol. But who wants to search and spend lots of money on a tinted moisturizer when you can MAKE IT YOURSELF with products you probably already have in your makeup bag. You can save yourself 30-50 bucks and use that on a new swimsuit =D

So I'm going to share with you these very easy steps in making your TINTED MOISTURIZER =)

Things Needed:

A light moisturizer, you don't want your moisturizer to be to heavy or thick because this could result in a cakey face =(

A liquid foundation, mineral foundation, or bronzer

A container if you wish to store it

How to Mix it::

*The more coverage you need, the more foundation you are going to want to use.*

Use 2/3 pumps of your favorite moisturizer (you can use less or more if needed)

Use 1/2 pumps of your favorite foundation (adjust if you need more/less coverage)

Mix well and apply to your face, want a little summer glow? Just add a little bronzer into your mix.

Letting The NATURAL You SHINE Through....

Hey Beauties! So todays post about letting the Natural you Shine through...with MAKEUP. Now i know everybody wants that "Flawless" face,  but seriously, some of us have blemishes =( and of course you can cover them up with the magic of concealer/foundation. But for some, the blemishes are really hard to cover up without piling it on. But thats when you really need to take a step back and realize, no matter what, makeup or not, you are still BEAUTIFUL. Blemish or not, who cares. And to be honest, 99% of men dont care if you have a blemish, they really dont. And most men dont like "alot" of makeup anyway.

Just remember when applying your makeup, your concealer and foundation, dont "over" do it, dont try to HIDE your blemish to the point of piling makeup on. Just put enough to diminish it abit, but still let the NATURAL you shine through...

BeautyTip:: Make Those Eyelashes POP

Who said you had to be born with LONG-THICK eyelashes to make your eyes more sexy and seductive? All you need is the right Mascara and Application to get the effect...dont you just love the MAGIC of makeup?

The Key::

You dont want globs and clumps of mascara on your lashes, not cute. So...heres how you SHOULD apply your mascara for your sexy lashes...

-Start at the base of your lashes with your mascara want and wiggle it
-gently brush the mascara to the ends of your lashes (using a lash comb is better, because it is free of mascara)
-SMUDGES, sometimes you get this if your mascara is too "wet". All you need is a q-tip (i like the baby q-tips) and gently remove any/all smudges to give your eye a clean fresh look
-Apply a 2nd coat for THICKER lashes (do it before the 1st coat dries to prevent CLUMPING)

*DONT FORGET TO CURL YOUR LASHES BEFORE APPLYING MASCARA, HEATED CURLERS ARE BETTER, BUT A REGULAR CURLY WILL GET THE JOB DONE =)*

BEAUTY TIP: How to Bring OUT Your Inner Beauty...

Hey Beauties...

So i found an article online and decide to share it with you. Beauty is so much more then our appearance, we have to learn to bring out our inner Beauty because at the end of the day, this is what MATTERS!!! We are ALL Beautiful, we have to learn that and stop basing ourselves on the world, accept yourself, love yourself...and let your INNER BEAUTY SHINE!!!

Enjoy the Article=)

"Many people are obsessed with their appearance and becoming more beautiful. But, what is inner beauty and how can you improve it? While there are many ways to define it, everyone can recognize that certain spark or charisma that some people have. When you have this sort of charm, people will always want to be a part of your life, no what your outward features may be.

People who emit happiness and a positive attitude are a whole lot more enjoyable to be around then someone who emits depression and a negative attitude. Not a single person isn’t dealing with some kind of issue, so it is a good thing to recognize this and do things that you can in order to help others. This not only makes you more popular, but it will take your mind off your own problems. Re-directing some of your attention to the people around you, as opposed to solely on yourself is vital if you wish to truly enhance your inner beauty. Instead of just fixating on the wicked things of the world around you, it is important to come up with ways to enrich that world around you.

If you are adamant about showcasing your inner beauty, then there are some customs that you should give up. One of these things consists of gossiping and making fault finding statements about another human being. This is something many people do, whether it’s at work, among friends in a bar or coffee shop or on the phone. People who like to gossip about other people are usually have a high popularity because they know how to get the conversation going and entertain others with their gossiping ways. But, they are not known for being trustworthy. This is because they can see that this person will talk about them too. So do not do the wrong thing and engage in this type of activity. This type of behavior will only deflate your sense of inner beauty.

Your natural beauty can be intercepted if you assent to letting negative thoughts enter our minds. You will block your inner beauty if you allow imminent feelings, such as misery, annoyance or even hatred to take over your life, thus resulting in the limitation of your true potential. You have to, first of all, acknowledge any areas where you need to let go of things and then find ways to overcome them. Sometimes counseling or professional help is best, but in many cases talking over your problems with a good friend or family member can help. Furthermore, it’s an issue of keeping an eye on your thoughts and not allowing negativity to take over your life. Your inner beauty will hide itself if you allow negative thoughts to overtake your life, but not so much if you allow the positivity to flow through your life.

There are times when even the best of plans can go astray, which is where it becomes important to learn flexibility. People who find it difficult to accept change, face challenges with stubbornness or intolerance, or who are generally inflexible to anything that goes against what they want are usually the ones who are angry, miserable and stressed. You can seriously affect your inner peace, which can have detrimental effects on your health as well. Yet life can be far happier if you’re willing to adapt to changes with a more flexible viewpoint. While you should still remain true to your own values, you’ll benefit by remembering that there are some events and some people you simply can’t control. People with true inner beauty tend to use obstacles or situations as life-lessons to be learned from, rather than remaining inflexible. To cut a long story short, if you are able to see the desirable qualities and talents you have, as well as those in others, you will be able to find your very own inner beauty. Very often, the more important you make others feel, the more they’ll value you and see you as interesting and attractive. We’ve covered a few guidelines on bringing out your inner beauty, and you’ll discover that if you follow some of these they can make a tremendous difference in how people look at you and the way you feel about yourself."

Beauty Tip:: How to Save that NOT so Pretty Shade of Lipstick?

Have you every brought a shade of lipstick from the store or online, and it looked pretty in the tube but once you got home and tried it on...you were like, WTH!!??!! lol

Well I'm sure you have just like myself. I have done that so many times, even just recently. I ordered some MAC lippies, first did my "research" online on YouTube and thought i would be "Safe" but ummmm...no!! So i ordered the Vegas Volt, i feel in love with this color...once i got it home and actually tried it on my lips (yesterday)...my heart was tore in pieces lol. I HATED IT!!! Its just way to BRIGHT for my lips, my face, my everything...it makes me look like a CLOWN!

So...what did I do? Like the past mistakes lol! I apply my lip gloss first and then i apply just a very little of the Lipstick of Horror lol, and it makes my gloss pop with a nice little tint! Tones the color down BIG TIME! And leaves me happy and not feeling like i have wasted my money =/

Beauty Tip:: Aloe as Face Primer

ALOE VERA GEL anyone??

Aloe Vera Gel works perfect for a face primer! It leaves your skin feeling SUPER soft and moisturize. Face Primer in general gets your face ready for makeup, creating a smoother and even canvas. So does Aloe Vera Gel, and it leaves your pores looking smaller. Sounds good to me, lol. If you are using a powder foundation you can apply your aloe vera gel before your makeup (make sure to let the gel DRY!!) or if you are using a liquid foundation, you can mix the two or just apply it before...the choice is yours.

I actually like this as my face primer now, better than my MAC, ELF, Revlon...im in love with my simple Fruit of the Earth Aloe, which only cost 4 bucks....=)

You can use any aloe vera gel, or fresh aloe Vera, but make sure it is 100% aloe and its CLEAR!!!

Also Aloe Vera Gel is GOOOOOD for your skin...all natural & healthy. You cant beat that right?

  1. Aloe Vera Gel can be mixed with your shampoo/conditioner to help treat hair loss. And also condition the hair which will make it more soft and shiny.
  2. Aloe Vera Gel is an excellent skin moisturizer (penetrates skin 4xs faster than water)
  3. You can use AVG as a "gel" to help hold your hair without all the alcohol that regular hair gel tends to have.

Makeup Tip:: Concealer as Foundation

Hey Beauties!!!

So i have a beauty tip i found and i wanted to share with you all. All you need is TWO items, lotion of choice and concealer of choice. You can use your fingers or your brush, which ever you prefer. Now remember, lotion drys out very quick, so you have to work fast. All you have to do  is mix your concealer and your lotion together until it is mixed well...then apply it to your face. The results will give you a really beautiful flawless look....you can then apply a little more concealer alone to any blemishes you still see///or you can do it before your concealer foundation application.  So that's the beauty tip i wanted to share with you ladies, found this online on YouTube and HAD to share it with you...i am so trying this, and you know i will post pictures..=)

Beauty Tip:: Garlic

Hey Beauties! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend =0)

So I'm going to share with you what i have learned about Garlic? Are you a garlic lover? Did you know garlic has many benefits to taking them? Think about your grandparents or even your great grandparents, I'm sure if you ask them they can give you so many beauty tips with the food or supplements around you, why spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars when you don't have too?

Health Benefits:

Garlic is a powerful Antibiotic, its one of the most popular health herbs out there right now.
It can also help with high blood pressure.
Reduce Levels of Fat in the Liver.
It can also help prevent certain cancers.
And it helps prevents heart attacks and diabetes and much more.

Hair Benefits::

Garlic can also be good for our scalp and our hair. Garlic stimulates blood circulation to our scalp and helps remove any harmful toxins which is important for the growth of our hair & helping prevent hair loss.
Adding Garlic to your shampoo or conditioner can help with making your hair stronger and to STOP any breakage...hey now lol!
Garlic can also help with dry hair and scalp

"An hour before bedtime, slice open a clove of garlic and rub it on the hair loss area. Wait for an hour then massage the scalp with olive oil. Put on a cap and go to bed. In the morning, shampoo your hair. Repeat this remedy for a few weeks, and hopefully hair will stop falling out and re-grow."

Weight::

Garlic promotes weight control...allicin is the most potent substance found in garlic and this has been shown to not only lower blood pressure, insulin and  more, but also to prevent weight gain.
The reason it helps with your weight is because garlic acts as a appetite suppressant.
Garlic has another lethal weight loss arsenal- it stimulates the nervous system to release hormones like adrenalin which speeds up your metabolic rate

So as you can see Garlic has many benefits and this is just a small list...lol

Apply Right

Hey Beauties..hope everyone is enjoying their wkend...holiday season which means crowded in the stores...i love it though, not the lines lol but just seeing everyone out with their loved ones enjoying the season. Thanksgiving is next wk, i know im so ready to eat, and boy can i eat lol... okay on to the subject...

Apply Right...Foundation

Prime:: Before you smooth on your foundation, prep your face with a primer, which will create a base for the makeup and help hold it in place all day. Look for a primer that's silicone based, which helps seals skin imperfections, creating a smoother surface. I use MAC prep and prime.

Brush up:: A foundation brush helps the product go on smoothly and covers imperfections without creating a cakey appearance. Using your fingers can cause skin irritations, because bacteria beneath your nails can be transferred to your face...breakouts. If you are using a cream or liquid foundation, choose a brush made from synthetic fiber such as nylon. For powder foundations and finishing powders, go for a natural goat-hair brush such as MAC 134.

Blend it:: Pour a quarter-size amount of foundation onto the back of your hand or into a small, clean bowl. Then dip the brush into the product, just enough to cover the bristles, you don't want to drown them-then smooth it onto your skin with even strokes. Begin with one side of your face underneath your jawline, and work your way up to your cheekbones. Then continue to just below your brows and across your forehead. Repeat to the other side. Blend-Blend-Blend! This is the key beauties. If you need more coverage, let the first layer dry then proceed to the next layer.

Hope this helps beauties.

Choose the Correct Formula

Hey Beauties, ever wonder how to choose the correct formula of foundation according to your skin type? Well read on...

Oily Skin: Women whose skin tends to get a little greasy should avoid oil-based foundations and stick to wet/dry mattifying powders that are on the thick side. These adhere to skin better than liquids, which can bond to oil and slide down your face...yuck lol.

example= Bobbi Brown illuminating finish powder compact foundation SPF

Dry Skin: If your skin is parched, use an oil based liquid foundation with emollients such as glycerin, lanolin, or ceramides. These moisturizing ingredients will keep your skin looking soft and supple.

example= Lancome Teint miracle

Combination Skin: Combination skin is tricky because your face is dry around the perimeter and oily in the T-zone. The trick: apply a moisturizing cream foundation along the outer part of your face, then blend it in toward your nose. Finish with a dusting of a translucent powder over your nose and forehead. It will set the cream and prevent it from migrating into any creases.

Normal Skin: If you want to cover blotchiness, use a cream foundation. (Laura Geller real deal foundation stick SPF) Otherwise, smooth on a tinted moisturizer, which will even out your tone and give you a natural look. Then use a dab of concealer to hide any minor discolorations.

example= miracle skin transformer SPF

hope this helps you Beauties =)

Smokey Eyes easy as 1-2-3s

Hey Beauties!!! Man i feel so lost without my IPhone, tell me why i let my daughter play with it inside the store and she dropped it, BAM!!! And i just recently took off my protector case that ran me $50 to prevent stuff like this from happening, bc this has happened with the case but it never broke, but i wanted the case off bc i liked how it felt without it, slim not bulky...and yes, she broke it =( i feel so lost lol, like seriously, this is how i usually check my emails, do my instant messenger, text of course, YouTube and even blog from...and i cant forget i play poker, my favorite game on it too...its been a hard week i tell you. But good news---I'm taking it to Apple this weekend in Chicago to get it replaced so ill be back to normal soon lol...now lets move on with this blog post...smokey eyes

Do you love the smokey eyes like i do...before it was just the black smokey eye that was popular but now you can choose from so many color combos of the smokey eye and create a look just for you...don't know how? well follow these basics...

What you will need:::

1. Primer (if you want your shadow to last all day)

2. 2 shadows of your choice, light and dark.

3. Makeup brushes, eyeshadow brush and blending brush

4. Eyeliner

5. Mascara

Time Required: 10 Min's

Steps::

1. Prep your lid with a primer of choice. Let the primer dry before you continue on. This will help your eyeshadow last all day. I like Urban Decay Primer Potion and ELF primer.

2. Apply Eyeliner. If you are going for the dark smokey eyes like black or gray, then you are going to want to use a black or brown eyeliner. apply to top and bottom lash line and thicker in the upper middle. If you are going for a lighter smokey eye like purple or blue then use a purple or blue liner. (tip: best eyeliners, pencil eyeliner are great for smudging for a smokey look but it needs to be set with an eyeshadow to last, liquid liners are the best but takes time how to apply it flawlessly and gel eyeliners are the perfect balance between both pencil and liquid. MAC gel liner-Wet&Wild liquid liner-MAC power point pencil)

3. Blend in color on bottom lash line, for this you will want to use an eye pencil since its easier to smudge. Once you draw your line with the pencil, you can run your finger through it to smudge it out. Then run some shadow to get more of the smudge effect.

4. Apply a light base color. You can use a cream as your base for that extra smooth look. Sweep a light color over your lids to your brow bone.

5. Blend in darker color, but keep dark color below your crease. Since you already have your liner and base on, now its time to get smokey lol, get your darker shadow out. Using your eyeshadow brush, blend in color starting at your lash line, blending up! Make sure to blend color into the lash line so the eyeliner Disappears. Stop deep color at crease, the KEY is to BLEND-BLEND-BLEND!=)

6. Look over your creation and make sure both eyes match and use a q-tip to blend more if you need too.

7. Apply Mascara, you want to apply several coats of mascara here to make your lashes more dramatic and thicker looking. You can also curl your lashes to give it that extra curl. I prefer a heated eyelash curler for better results.

Tips:::

-When you are wearing such a dramatic look with makeup, i would suggest wearing a nude lip. You want your focus to be on either your eyes or your lips, not both.

-Don't have an eyeliner on hand, or just not the color you need, then dip your eyeliner brush in a little water to damp it and then use an eyeshadow of choice to make your new eyeliner. Also you don't have to damp your brush if you are using a dark shadow, its your choice.

So these are some tips i wanted to share with you beauties! Enjoy. Don't forget to check me out on YouTube HERE and subscribe =-)
